Are there any of you here that voted for Obama that now regret it?

I kind of agree too. Barack Obama proved that not only is he not different but there is no difference. A politicians top priority is always the same. Himself/Herself
The ones who allow themselves to be owned the most sometimes are the ones most damaged. Those people will become obsolete when a better contraption comes around.

Exactly. The real truth is that the bankers and corporations run the show. It doesn't matter whether we vote or not, they are going to put in there who they want in there and there's noting you can do about it. Same shit, different asshole. Carlin said it best "Politicians are put in place by the real owners to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice, guess what you don't."

George Carlin was such a sage. A true inspiration. No filter. No rose-colored glasses. No fear of anything or anyone. The God of Comedy... or The Devil.

I love the guy, miss him terribly, and believe this World needs him now more than ever.

Then Ronald Reagan was an even bigger failure than Obama, since his lowest approval rating was 35%. Using your criteria, in addition to Ronald Reagan, here are some other Presidential "failures": George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Lyndon B. Johnson and Harry Truman. Looks like the only "successful" Presidents we have had over the past 80 years or so have been Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy. Maybe we need an emperor or a monarch to run this joint; "the people" seem to have a pretty bad track record on who to vote into office.

BTW Georges, you still have not addressed my question regarding Romney's healthcare reform in Massachusetts being the virtual twin of ObamaCare. With all due respect, I ask you to use facts and data and dispense with the nonsensical cartoons. Who you like or don't like matters not to me. But if your reasons for not liking someone seem based on a lack of logic, you understand that someone is going to call you on it. Also, Obama, whether when he was in the Illinois legislature or the U.S. Senate - or as President of the United States now, has had nothing more to do with Chicago's gun laws than I have. I encourage you to learn more about how our political system (actually) works.
Yes, his healthcare fix was supposed to made healthcare more affordable and easier to use for everyone. But at the ends, it is just a lie because his healthcare system ends more expensive and more complicated to use for everyone. There has been 5000000 cancellations and the obamacare websites aren't working properly. Before quoting lack of logic, you should say lack of vision and incompetence from this president and his administration. Let's not forget that he spies on his allies and pretend that he didn't know about, I can also quote you several other Obama misdoings.

It's too soon to say "at the end", it's just getting started. Give it some time, but that's the whole point, isn't it, right-wingers are afraid the end result will be successful.

I'm just curious georges, where do you get your news and information?

Wait, wait, wait. Rey C. provides information both incriminating those who you fervently support and brought up your unwillingness to answer a question regarding Romney's healthcare being the base for the ACA, and all you've done is ignore both those statements and talk more about how Obama screwed up, how Obama lied, how Obama was a false messiah to all the gangbangers and drugdealers in Chicago, Detroit, etc. Please step off your soapbox and address those inquiries like someone who actually understands how politics and debates work. Saying that you can "quote several other Obama misdoings" to try and prove your point doesn't do that at all; it proves you avoid answering questions that you don't want to, and makes you look foolish.

Of course your right. Spin Doctors ...perhaps the lawyers shouldn't be the first to be killed.

Ironic...

Hmm, well... in light of recent events, perhaps you now see that self-moderation and being in better control of ones words and actions is the best way to conduct ones self - here or anywhere else (real life or internet). I don't get paid to be here - and neither do you or any of us. But when I am here, I'd prefer to not have the people I respect think of me as some sort of unhinged nutcase because I've fallen into some sort of long-running battle with you or anyone else. I'd rather not discourage those people from having a normal (or funny or whatever) conversation with me because they'd rather just avoid me and not risk having to deal with any foolishness or silliness. If I can't do any better than that, then I should stop coming here, so that I don't waste my time or anyone else's. During your "vacation", perhaps you will reflect on my position and you may decide to agree... or not.

Good day to you. Best of luck with your back pain, etc.

:hatsoff:

For someone that considers himself reasoned and above the fray, and who previously proclaimed himself "out" of this thread, I find it telling that you took victory laps during my ban.

There are hundreds of active posters on this board and 99 percent of them I get along with just fine. In the future, the ones that raise my ire I will do my best to avoid.

But I do not need you to admonish me about my behavior. It was dealt with by those that have the authority to make such decisions.

I seem to remember RC getting all nasty and trying to crush me with meaner and meaner attempts to denigrate my statements concerning a certain 30something virgin who needed to trash those who had experienced vaginal love, and who declared his desire to keep that nasty pussy out of his life to maintain his fine quality of life; it escalated to RayRay just calling me bad things and trying his best to channel Mariah, MisFire, HapyHappydumdum, Nester6, FruityRyan, and other FOs posters who tried their best to be so bad on me...lame attempts at flaming someone they didn't have the chops to take down.
Now that BC is back, the BS is dripping off the page; one can almost see the Pope Hat being worn while pompous speeches are being sonorously delivered.

Tsk tsk...self-importance is not a result of personal actions in life, but by arrogance and a lack of honest self-awareness.

I appreciate the sentiment Phil. Some of the ones you mentioned I actually get along with. Happy and xman have been particularly productive posters here although we don't have a wide range of agreement. My point is, that while Rey is for the most part a respected participant here, we all have our moments and I can't imagine a scenario where I would feel that it is my duty to call out a poster that can neither respond to comments made about them during a ban nor should it be my responsibility to do so. And especially when I seemed to be the only one that was deserving of being taken to the woodshed by RC. I found it to be a singling out and I do not appreciate it.

I'll leave it at that.

But healthcare spending rose by only 1.3%, the lowest ever in a three year period

Point being there seems to be a LOT of stone throwing in several glass residences here lately...bemoaning the trolls and such by those who have engaged in such behaviors often, which were conveniently put up on the can't see it shelf, so it really didn't happen.
Just remembering for those with a selective memory, thas all.

This is what I've always found amusing about you: you'll criticize other people for something, and in the criticism, you'll do the exact same thing. Talk about lack of honest self-awareness...

Had you followed the sentiments in my post, which you declared "pathetic", you wouldn't have gotten banned, now would you? And in that, yes, I absolutely did find a tremendous amount of irony. But like I said, how you choose to act on here is your business.

Dude

You can step off of your soap box now.

Now go and preach to the other person that was banned too. I noticed you didn't do that.

Well, the same sentiment would apply to him as well. But it was you who I played a game of "dogs chasing their tails" with and it was you who thought that showing some level of self-moderation was pathetic. So why would I seek him out?

So, dude, do as you please. And have a Merry Christmas.

Moderators get banned around here too. It happened a day or so ago.

If I feel the need to be reprimanded, I'll piss off another judge or two.

it does not matter who the people vote for president because in the end, the MONEY that finances both sides wins and general populace loses
