He won't be flossing for long, apparently there are a few republican senators left with principles, and enough have already said they won't vote to confirm before the election that it's looking pretty unlikely. Of course, even if trump loses the election, and ignoring the shitstorm of legal battles that will follow, there's the whole lame duck session to get through, and the rare republican senators who have shown a bit of spine don't generally show it for long.
I'm sure this is just another thing the trumpers of the board will ignore and refuse to address, but there's no way you can justify blocking Garland 9 months out from the election and try to smash through your guy less than 2 months before the election. It's just not possible without admitting that you're full of shit, and so are your senators, and you don't care, because they're republicans.
On top of that, contributions to Biden and Amy McGrath have gone through the roof in the last few hours. I guess this has got a few people freaking out.

Do you think it's fine that mcconnell refused to vote on Garland and left a seat on the supreme court open for more than a year, and now has vowed to try to confirm a trump nominee with less than 46 days until the election, georges? Remember, georges, in 2016, mcconnell said this - The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice, therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president

Please keep your comments for yourself. Ruth Bader Ginsburg waw a brave woman, had a great carreer and she fought till her last breath. However she was clearly an Obama appointed judge, so the less there is a democrat appointed SCOTUS judges, the better it is. I am glad that Trump will fill that position with a conservative person. Because Obamagate or Muppetogate and the endless and useless trials made against Trump as well as all the bs spillt by the mainstream medias just added nothing constructive from the Democrat side but just millions of dollars spent away with the tax payers money. The congress is filled of clowns like crying Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Occasio Cortez, Jerry Nadler and all the rest of the brady bunch of leftists and Obama minions that are just nocive and destructive for America's interests.

The vote counting will be interesting. McConnell has 53 Rs in the Senate and needs 50 plus Pence. He'll have that until when? Arizona is holding an election for the final two years of McCain's term. The winner (Kelly), if it is not McSally, could assume office in late November. That would reduce his count to 52. If it is McSally, the 53 stays in place in the next Congress begins in January.
