DETROIT – Eight suspected members of a Christian militia that prosecutors say was bent on sparking a war against the U.S. government were ordered Friday by a magistrate to remain locked up until trial.

U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Donald J. Scheer said during his ruling in Detroit that federal prosecutors had provided the court with "very disturbing information."

They weren't charged on anything legal. They weren't going to do anything and the police don't have any proof.

You can't be prosecuted on hearsay and conjecture.

Also, they waited to report the illegal raid for three days.

You're right about one thing, they don't have proof.... they have evidence. A jury will determine if the evidence against them is proof of a crime.

You can't conspire to commit mass murder if that's what the evidence shows in this case. I want to see the g'ments evidence.

In California..there has been a group targeting cops already in just the last month...they have set up several booby traps targeting cops. I'm not sure if this is connected but certainly it is being looked at as a possible connection.

Huh? How is this anything like Waco or Ruby Ridge. Ruby Ridge was a matter of FBI snipers with shoot-to-kill orders which resulted in the murder of Randy Weaver's wife and son. Waco was a matter of the ATF's siege on a cult compound that resulted in dozens of deaths.

The Hutaree case is a matter of an undercover FBI agent who was told about a conspiracy to commit murder and, as a result, nine people were arrested and will face a jury of their peers.

No, Waco was not a cult and a cult is legal. Just ask Scientologist's.

Their guns were all legal.
Waco was lie after lie after lie and the masses believed them all.

How is it an illegal search? Assuming they have recordings of these people which I'm sure they do under the circumstances I'm going to assume they were obtained with a warrant....How do I know this? Because the very first thing their defense atty would have done is filed a motion to suppress the evidence before they were arraigned if it were ill-gotten.

Instead, when they were arraigned the magistrate ordered them held without bail....that usually means the evidence against them is pretty strong.
