Deadliest Warrior

Vlad vs Sun Tzu? That's just stupid.

They don't even know if Sun Tzu was one person. Some believe The Art of War was written over a period of time by different warlords of the time. That is a silly match up.

I thought he was a military general? :dunno:

Historians have questioned whether or not Sun Tzu was an authentic historical figure. Traditional accounts place him in the Spring and Autumn Period of China (722–481 BC) as a military general serving under King Helü of Wu, who lived c. 544—496 BC. Scholars accepting his historicity place his supposed writing The Art of War in the Warring States Period (476–221 BC), based on the descriptions of warfare in the text. Traditional accounts state that his descendant, Sun Bin, also wrote a treatise on military tactics, titled Sun Bin's Art of War. (Both Sun Wu and Sun Bin were referred to as Sun Tzu in classical Chinese writings, and some historians thought that Sun Wu was in fact Sun Bin until Sun Bin's own treatise was discovered in 1972.)

It is all shady. While The Art of War is a great book. I find it immensely enjoyable. It is shadowy around the author and who exactly wrote it.

Vlad the Impaler is bit better known about. They could have went a different route on this.

Vlad verses Napoleon, Vlad versus Alexander the Great, Vlad versus someone who is a bit better known about.

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
Alright I am not a betting man but here are my predictions for who is going to win:

Episode 10: SWAT vs. GSG9-That is a tough one both are very formidable police groups, however this is going to be a tough one...my win goes to GSG9, because are they going to be compared to SWAT in general or one region or city in the United States SWAT?

Episode 11: Attila the Hun vs. Alexander the Great: Well Attila has war elephants and seems more barbaric in battle. I am going to say Attila is going to win, just toss Alexander a Gordian Knot and he will be preoccupied.

Episode 12: Jess e James vs. Al Capone-Did Al Capone even fire a gun? I don't think either man was a warrior, they were thives and ran criminal organizations...Spike tv needs to do a little bit better than this. No contest lame!!!!

Episode 13: Aztec Jaguar vs. Zande Warrior- Hmm I like those saw tooth clubs the Aztecs use, but the Azandes have better shields, and if I remember Aztecs had those small round shields. However the Aztecs seem much more ruthless, they played that game with the stone rings on a court kind of like basketball I guess, and the team that lost pretty much lost their heads. But the Azandes could be a little bit more motivated with a young male lover and if you don't believe look up on Wikipedia about that one.

Episode 14: Nazi SS vs. Viet Cong-You have the Viet Cong with their hit and run tactics and the SS into their occultism and genetic experimentations. I could imagine the SS sending in genetically mutated rats into the VC tunnels. So the SS get the win on that, unless the VC have the Ark of the Covenent handy then they can melt all the SS's faces off.

Episode 15: Roman Centurion vs. Rajput-The Centurion will win this one, but I like the Rajput as underdogs, because these guys tangled with the Gurkhas probadly on several occasions, and the Gurkhas were some of the toughest fighters in WWII if not still in this time.

Episode 16: Somali Pirate vs. Medellin Drug Cartel-This one is funny, both a pretty much small private armies but they lack discipline. Both have war or drug lords that are constantly infighting each other....I am going to say Somali pirate these guys pretty much have nothing to loose.

Episode 17: Persian Immortal vs. Celt-Well if they use the real Immortals and not the faux ninja ones from 300, then I would say the Celts are going to win. The Celts were known for their hit and run tactics whereas the Immortals were akin to stand in phalanxes.

Episode 18: KGB vs. CIA-The only thing these two agencies have in common these days is getting their native countries involved with Afghanastan.

Episode 19: Vlad The Impaler vs. Sun Tzu-Oh this one is simple whichever one of these guys has a thicker and heavier book to hit each other with...The Art of War or Dracula!

Episode 20: Ming Warrior vs. Musketeer-Ming Warriors had these little crossbows which would take less time for the wick on a Musketeers firearm to ignite....It will be cool to see which side has a better rate of fire though...Keep an eye on this one.

Episode 21: Comanche vs. Mongol-Both are great fighters on horseback, both have fast horses, and both are great open plains fighters...I like the Comanches chances because of one difference they went to war with Texas, and to be honest I would rather deal with an angry Mongol or Comanche then a Texan.

Episode 22: Navy Seal vs. Israeli Commando- I know the IDF has women in their ranks and a majority of the Israeli women I have met were quite hot, but do they let their women join the special forces? Because if they do, what guy isn't going to resist a chick with a foreign accent, I don't care how elite you are.

Episode 12: Jess e James vs. Al Capone-Did Al Capone even fire a gun? I don't think either man was a warrior, they were thives and ran criminal organizations...Spike tv needs to do a little bit better than this. No contest lame!!!!

When Capoone was working for small time gangs, the Five Points Gang, and John Torrio he got into a lot of scrapers and whatnot. i dont think he was much of a gun fighter on the level of Jesse James, but im sure he knew how to handle a firearm none the less.

i think itll be a debate of speed and accuracy, not much tactics and equipment. unless they put a group of men from each mans gang against each other, with the named men finishing the fight

The Second-Hottest Man in my Mother's Basement
Wasn't this show the reason Rocky got back in the ring?

People actually take this shit seriously?

I've enjoyed it, I look forward to the second season

People actually take this shit seriously?

what? i find it interesting. he brought up a valid point, and i commented.

a lot of the shit theyve done on this show is complete BS, but you have to admit, its pretty cool

The show sometimes has WTF moments. However, it is a pretty neat show to watch, just don't take it to heart.

Entertainment is all it is.
